The Beggs Demons thwarted the host Verdigris Cardinals football team by a count of 44-36 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, Beggs upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Demons travel to Westville (Westville, OK) to encounter the Yellowjackets in a 2A District 7 outing on Friday, September 22. The Yellowjackets go into the outing with a record of 0-3. Westville lost 34-18 in their recent non-league outing against Sequoyah (Tahlequah, OK)

With the loss, Verdigris moves to 0-3 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Central (Tulsa, OK) to encounter the Braves in a 3A District 4 outing on Friday, September 22. The Braves go into the outing with a record of 4-1. Central won 7-0 in their recent non-league outing against Roland (Roland, OK)
