In Friday's league game, the Hills-Beaver Creek Patriots (Hills, MN) football team smashed the visiting Cedar Mountain Cougars (Morgan, MN), by a score of 40-6.

The Patriots (3-0) will now prepare for their game against Mountain Lake/Mountain Lake Christian (Mountain Lake, MN). The Wolverines come into the District 9 South - West (9 Man) game with a 1-3 record. In their last game, Mountain Lake/Mountain Lake Christian overwhelmed Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda (Okabena, MN), 13-6, in a league game.

The Cougars now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host New Ulm Cathedral for a District 9 South - West (9 Man) game on Friday, September 22.
