The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Elgin Comets (Marion, OH) and the visiting Cory-Rawson Hornets (Rawson, OH), observed Elgin's football squad bounce Cory-Rawson by a count of 50-14.

The Comets now own a 5-0 record. They play next when they host Crestline for a Northwest Central contest on Friday, September 22. Elgin will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 48-6 league loss to Ridgemont (Mount Victory, OH). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-5.

Coming up next, the Hornets encounter the Waynesfield-Goshen Tigers (Waynesfield, OH) in a Northwest Central contest, on Friday, September 22. Cory-Rawson will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Tigers go into the contest with a 5-0 record after their 49-6 league win over North Baltimore (North Baltimore, OH).
