In Friday's non-league game, the South Beauregard Knights (Longville, LA) football team knocked off the visiting DeQuincy Tigers (DeQuincy, LA), by a final score of 27-6.
The Knights (2-1) will now prepare for their game against Lake Charles College Prep (Lake Charles, LA). The The Prep come into the 3A District 3 game with a 1-2 record. In their last game, Lake Charles College Prep was dropped by Opelousas (Opelousas, LA), 34-6, in a non-league game.
The Tigers now hold a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Mary for a non-league game on Thursday, September 21. DeQuincy will battle a Tigers team coming off a 26-13 non-league win over Holy Savior Menard (Alexandria, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 3-0.
