The Elkin Buckin' Elks football team (Elkin, NC), was tipped 19-16 in Friday's league challenge with the host South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC)
The Sauras (1-4) will now prepare for their challenge against East Wilkes (Ronda, NC). The Cardinals come into the Northwest 1A challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, East Wilkes was tipped by Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC), 21-7, in a non-league challenge.
The Buckin' Elks now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host North Stokes for a Northwest 1A challenge on Friday, September 22. Elkin will meet a Vikings team coming off a 64-0 league loss to Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 1-4.
