The Green Bobcats football team (Franklin Furnace, OH), was beaten 36-12 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Fairview Eagles (Ashland, KY)

The Eagles (1-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Powell County (Stanton, KY). The Pirates come into the non-league challenge with a 0-5 record. In their last challenge, Powell County was beaten by West Carter (Olive Hill, KY), 50-20, in a non-league challenge.

The Bobcats now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Symmes Valley for a Southern Ohio I challenge on Friday, September 22. Green will meet a Vikings team coming off a 46-12 league win over Manchester (Manchester, OH). The Vikings record now stands at 2-3.
