The Galena Pirates football team (Galena, IL), was knocked off 32-20 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Saranac Redskins (Saranac, MI)
The Redskins (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Laingsburg (Laingsburg, MI). The Wolfpack come into the Central Michigan challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, Laingsburg was knocked off by Chesaning (Chesaning, MI), 21-3, in a non-league challenge.
The Pirates now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Durand/Pecatonica for a Northwest Upstate Illini challenge on Friday, September 22. Galena will meet a Rivermen team coming off a 55-0 league win over West Carroll (Savanna, IL). The Rivermen record now stands at 4-0.
