The Lakeview Spartans football team (Battle Creek, MI), was tipped 27-21 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting St. Joseph Bears (St. Joseph, MI)
The Bears (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Portage Central (Portage, MI). The Mustangs come into the Southwestern Michigan challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, Portage Central nipped Mattawan (Mattawan, MI), 41-14, in a league challenge.
The Spartans now sport a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Portage Northern for a Southwestern Michigan challenge on Friday, September 22.
