Illinois High School Football - Maroa-Forsyth trounces Riverton

September 15, 2023: Riverton, IL 62561

In Friday's league match, the visiting Maroa-Forsyth Trojans football squad scored a big 68-6 victory over the Riverton Hawks.

In their next game, the Trojans clash with the Pittsfield Saukees (Pittsfield, IL) in a Sangamo match, on Friday, September 22. Maroa-Forsyth will attempt to move on its 4-0 season record. The Saukees enter the match with a 0-4 record after their 40-0 league loss to New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly (New Berlin, IL).

The Hawks (0-4) will now prepare for their match against Pleasant Plains (Pleasant Plains, IL). The Cardinals enter the Sangamo match with a 1-3 record. In their last match, Pleasant Plains routed PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central/Greenview (Petersburg, IL), 35-18, in a league match.
