Minnesota High School Football - Monticello held off by Sauk Rapids-Rice

In Friday's league game, the Sauk Rapids-Rice Storm (Sauk Rapids, MN) football team tipped the visiting Monticello Magic (Monticello, MN), by a final score of 27-20.

The Storm (4-0) will now prepare for their game against St. Francis (St. Francis, MN). The Fighting Saints come into the Northstar - West Gold game with a 0-3 record. In their last game, St. Francis was tipped by Elk River (Elk River, MN), 27-16, in a league game.

The Magic now hold a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Irondale for a non-league game on Friday, September 22. Monticello will battle a Knights team coming off a 52-21 non-league loss to Rogers (Rogers, MN). The Knights record now stands at 0-4.
