Virginia High School Football - Salem overwhelms Northside

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Salem Spartans (Salem, VA) and the host Northside Vikings (Roanoke, VA), observed Salem's football squad bounce Northside by a count of 62-14.

The Spartans now own a 3-1 record. They play next when they host Patrick Henry for a River Ridge contest on Friday, September 22. Salem will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 27-19 non-league win over Fleming (Roanoke, VA). The Patriots record now stands at 4-0.

Coming up next, the Vikings encounter the Heritage Pioneers (Lynchburg, VA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 29. Northside will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record.
