The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Sumter County Panthers (Americus, GA) and the visiting Northside Patriots (Columbus, GA), observed Sumter County's football squad defeat Northside by a count of 23-7.

The Panthers now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Cook for a AA Region 1 contest on Friday, September 29.

Coming up next, the Patriots encounter the Westover Patriots (Albany, GA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, September 21. Northside will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Patriots go into the contest with a 3-2 record after their 40-27 non-league win over Turner County (Ashburn, GA).
