The Portola Tigers football squad scored 49 points and restricted the host Redding Christian Lions to 13 in the Tigers league victory on Friday.

The Tigers now possess a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Maxwell for a Cascade Valley battle on Friday, September 22. Portola will face a Panthers squad coming off a 37-21 league win over Los Molinos (Los Molinos, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 3-1.

Coming up next, the Lions face the Fall River Bulldogs (McArthur, CA) in a Cascade Valley battle, on Friday, September 22. Redding Christian will attempt to advance on its 1-3 season record. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a 3-0 record after their 32-18 league win over Weed (Weed, CA).
