The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Searcy Lions (Searcy, AR) and the visiting Sylvan Hills Bears (Sherwood, AR), observed Searcy's football squad bounce Sylvan Hills by a count of 42-7.

The Lions now own a 3-0 record. They play next when they travel to Catholic for a 6A East contest on Friday, September 22. Searcy will encounter a Rockets squad coming off a 49-42 league loss to Benton (Benton, AR). The Rockets record now stands at 2-1.

Coming up next, the Bears encounter the West Memphis Blue Devils (West Memphis, AR) in a 6A East contest, on Friday, September 22. Sylvan Hills will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Blue Devils go into the contest with a 2-1 record after their 49-21 league win over Sheridan (Sheridan, AR).
