The Vandalia Vandals thwarted the host Southwestern Piasa Birds football team by a count of 41-19 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Vandalia upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Vandals host North Mac (Virden, IL) to encounter the Panthers in a South Central outing on Friday, September 22. The Panthers go into the outing with a record of 1-3. North Mac lost 55-20 in their recent league outing against Pana (Pana, IL)

With the loss, Southwestern moves to 2-2 on the season. The Piasa birds travel to Carlinville (Carlinville, IL) to encounter the Cavaliers in a South Central outing on Friday, September 22. The Cavaliers go into the outing with a record of 2-2. Carlinville won 46-14 in their recent league outing against Staunton/Bunker Hill (Staunton, IL)
