The Tupelo Golden Wave felled the host Noxubee County Tigers football team by a score of 20-8 in Monday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Golden Wave play the West Point Green Wave (West Point, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 23. Tupelo will attempt to upgrade on its 1-0 season record.

With the defeat, Noxubee County drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Tigers host Columbus (Columbus, MS) to meet the Falcons in a non-league test on Monday, September 22. The Falcons come into the test with a record of 0-0.
