In Monday's non-league outing, the host Great Valley Patriots soccer team scored a close 1-0 triumph over the Oxford Hornets.

With the triumph, Great Valley moves its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Springfield Township (Erdenheim, PA) to clash with the Spartans in a non-league test on Friday, October 3. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 5-4.

The Hornets now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ridley for a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 23.
