New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) boosters left the game thrilled Monday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting JV Opponent (, ), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Gryphons (6-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Lynchburg HomeSchool (Lynchburg, VA). The Patriots enter the non-league challenge with a 0-6 record. In their last challenge, Lynchburg HomeSchool was beaten by Timberlake Christian (Forest, VA), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The now own a 58-139 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lakeland Christian for a test on Monday, September 15. JV Opponent will face a Vikings squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Seffner Christian (Seffner, FL). The Vikings record now stands at 6-6.
