The Urbana Tigers triumphed over the host Monticello Sages soccer squad by a score of 5-0 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Tigers now possess a 7-3 record. They play next when they travel to Bloomington for a Big Twelve bout on Tuesday, September 16. Urbana will play a Purple Raiders squad coming off a 4-1 league win over Peoria (Peoria, IL). The Purple Raiders record now stands at 6-4.
With the loss, Monticello falls to 4-7 on the campaign. The Sages travel to St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL) to face the Spartans in a Illini Prairie game on Tuesday, September 16. The Spartans come into the game with a record of 12-0. St. Joseph-Ogden won 9-0 in their recent non-league game against Blue Ridge/DeLand-Weldon (Farmer City, IL)
