Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the West Vigo Vikings (West Terre Haute, IN) and the visiting South Vermillion Wildcats (Clinton, IN), saw West Vigo's soccer squad knock off South Vermillion by a score of 5-2.

The Vikings (1-7) will now prepare for their battle against Greencastle (Greencastle, IN). The Tiger Cubs enter the non-league battle with a 8-0 record. In their last battle, Greencastle tipped Cascade (Clayton, IN), 3-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Wildcats confront the Covington Trojans (Covington, IN) in a Wabash River battle, on Tuesday, September 16. South Vermillion will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Trojans enter the outing with a 3-4 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to First Baptist Christian (Danville, IL).
