Next, the Lions clash with the Heard County Braves (Franklin, GA) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, September 17. Central will attempt to advance on its 12-5 season record. The Braves go into the test with a 7-5 record after their 10-0 league win over Pepperell (Lindale, GA).

With the loss, Newnan moves to 9-10 on the season. The Cougars travel to Morrow (Morrow, GA) to encounter the Mustangs in a 5A Region 3 outing on Tuesday, September 16. The Mustangs come into the outing with a record of 1-10. Morrow won 20-8 in their recent league test against Banneker (College Park, GA)
