Dawson County Tigers (Dawsonville, GA) backers left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host South Forsyth War Eagles (Cumming, GA), 6-5 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Dawson County upgrades its record to 14-5 on the year. The Tigers travel to Greater Atlanta Christian (Norcross, GA) to confront the Spartans in a 3A Region 6 match on Tuesday, September 16. The Spartans come into the match with a record of 6-11. Greater Atlanta Christian lost 12-0 in their recent league match against Lumpkin County (Dahlonega, GA)

The War Eagles (8-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Lambert (Suwanee, GA). The Longhorns enter the 6A Region 6 challenge with a 8-8 record. In their last challenge, Lambert edged Forsyth Central (Cumming, GA), 13-5, in a league challenge.
