The Wheeler Wildcats softball team scored 18 runs and held the host Riverdale Raiders to 3 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Monday.

Next, the Wildcats meet the Therrell Panthers (Atlanta, GA) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, September 17. Wheeler will attempt to upgrade on its 2-15 season record. The Panthers go into the test with a 6-2 record after their 27-5 league win over Carver (Atlanta, GA).

The Raiders (7-7) will now prepare for their test against Douglass (Atlanta, GA). The Astros come into the 3A Region 5 outing with a 7-4 record. In their last outing, Douglass achieved victory over Mt. Zion (Jonesboro, GA), 17-2, in a league outing.
