In Monday's non-league bout, the Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions (Glendale, AZ) volleyball team knocked off the host Apollo Hawks (Glendale, AZ), by a margin of 3-0.
The Mountain Lions now possess a 5-7 record. They play next when they travel to Liberty for a 6A - Desert Valley bout on Tuesday, September 16. Mountain Ridge will clash with a Lions team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Mountain View (Mesa, AZ). The Lions record now stands at 3-3.
