Homer-Center Wildcats (Homer City, PA) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the visiting Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders (Altoona, PA), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Wildcats (5-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Marion Center (Marion Center, PA). The Stingers come into the Heritage challenge with a 4-5 record. In their last challenge, Marion Center was nudged by Richland (Johnstown, PA), 1-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Marauders play the Bellwood-Antis Blue Devils (Bellwood, PA) in a Laurel Highlands 1 challenge, on Tuesday, September 16. Bishop Guilfoyle will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 0-7 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Westmont Hilltop (Johnstown, PA).
