In Monday's non-league battle, the South-Doyle Cherokees (Knoxville, TN) volleyball squad toppled the visiting Carter Green Hornets (Strawberry Plains, TN), by a score of 3-0.
With the win, South-Doyle improves its record to 9-2 on the year. The Cherokees host Sequoyah (Madisonville, TN) to battle the Chiefs in a AA District 4 contest on Tuesday, September 16. The Chiefs enter the contest with a record of 3-7.
