The Franklin Cougars football squad scored 56 points and restricted the host Americas Trail Blazers to 29 in the Cougars league victory on Friday.

The Cougars now possess a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Socorro for a 6A Region I District 1 battle on Friday, September 23. Franklin will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 63-0 league loss to Montwood (El Paso, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-3.

Coming up next, the Trail Blazers face the Eastlake Falcons (El Paso, TX) in a 6A Region I District 1 battle, on Friday, September 23. Americas will attempt to advance on its 1-3 season record. The Falcons enter the battle with a 3-1 record after their 35-21 league win over Coronado (El Paso, TX).
