North Carolina High School Football - Mount Pleasant knocks off Anson

September 16, 2022: Wadesboro, NC 28170

The Mount Pleasant Tigers football squad scored 30 points and limited the host Anson Bearcats to 9 in the Tigers non-league win on Friday.

The Tigers now possess a 3-2 record. They play next when they host Union Academy for a 1A/2A West Conference 35 battle on Friday, September 23. Mount Pleasant will play a Cardinals squad coming off a 32-0 non-league loss to Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 1-4.

Coming up next, the Bearcats play the Central Eagles (Pageland, SC) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 23. Anson will attempt to advance on its 3-2 season record. The Eagles go into the battle with a 2-2 record after their 20-14 non-league loss to Lake View (Lake View, SC).
