The Newton South Lions (Newton, MA) football edged the visiting Brookline Warriors (Brookline, MA), 35-28 in Friday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Lions face the Waltham Hawks (Waltham, MA) in a Dual County bout, on Friday, September 23. Newton South will attempt to advance on its 2-1 season record. The Hawks enter the bout with a 2-0 record after their 17-6 non-league win over Winchester (Winchester, MA).
The Warriors (0-2) will now prepare for their bout against Arlington (Arlington, MA). The Spy Ponders enter the non-league bout with a 1-1 record. In their last bout, Arlington was nudged by Hingham (Hingham, MA), 49-0, in a non-league bout.
