California High School Football - Modoc knocks off Burns

September 16, 2022: Alturas, CA 96101

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Modoc Braves (Alturas, CA) and the visiting Burns Hilanders (Burns, OR), observed Modoc's football squad thwart Burns by a count of 27-7.

The Braves now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Los Molinos for a Cascade Valley contest on Friday, September 23. Modoc will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 32-26 league win over Maxwell (Maxwell, CA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-1.

Coming up next, the Hilanders play the McLoughlin Pioneers (Milton-Freewater, OR) in a 3A Special District 4 contest, on Friday, September 23. Burns will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Pioneers go into the contest with a 0-3 record after their 57-8 league loss to Ontario (Ontario, OR).
