In Friday's non-league game, the Catholic-B.R. Bears (Baton Rouge, LA) football team knocked off the visiting University Lab Cubs (Baton Rouge, LA), by a score of 31-21.
The Bears (2-1) will now prepare for their game against St. Thomas More (Lafayette, LA). The Cougars come into the non-league game with a 3-0 record. In their last game, St. Thomas More toppled Brother Martin (New Orleans, LA), 30-16, in a non-league game.
The Cubs now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Mentorship Academy for a 3A District 6 game on Friday, September 23. University Lab will battle a Sharks team coming off a 67-0 non-league loss to Wossman (Monroe, LA). The Sharks record now stands at 0-3.
