In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Gueydan Bears football squad scored a good 35-27 victory over the Central Private Redhawks.
In their next game, the Bears clash with the East Beauregard Trojans (DeRidder, LA) in a 1A District 5 match, on Friday, September 23. Gueydan will attempt to move on its 3-0 season record. The Trojans enter the match with a 1-3 record after their 32-22 non-league loss to Mamou (Mamou, LA).
The Redhawks (0-3) will now prepare for their match against Northeast (Pride, LA). The Vikings enter the non-league match with a 2-2 record. In their last match, Northeast thwarted Fisher (Lafitte, LA), 14-13, in a non-league match.
