In Friday's non-league match, the host Clay County Panthers football squad scored a good 30-14 victory over the Sissonville Indians.

In their next game, the Panthers clash with the Liberty Raiders (Glen Daniel, WV) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 23. Clay County will attempt to move on its 3-1 season record. The Raiders enter the match with a 1-2 record after their 30-20 non-league win over Sherman (Seth, WV).

The Indians (0-4) will now prepare for their match against Hoover (Clendenin, WV). The Huskies enter the Cardinal match with a 1-2 record. In their last match, Hoover ran past Nitro (Nitro, WV), 42-21, in a league match.
