    The Elgin Owls football squad scored 41 points and restricted the visiting Weatherford Eagles to 10 in the Owls non-league victory on Friday.

    The Owls now possess a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host El Reno for a 5A District 1 battle on Friday, September 23. Elgin will face a Indians squad coming off a 20-19 non-league loss to Weatherford (Weatherford, OK). The Indians record now stands at 0-3.

    Coming up next, the Eagles face the Chickasha Fighting Chicks (Chickasha, OK) in a 4A District 1 battle, on Friday, September 23. Weatherford will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The Fighting Chicks enter the battle with a 2-1 record after their 42-20 non-league win over Anadarko (Anadarko, OK).
