North Carolina High School Football - Elkin routs North Stokes

The Elkin Buckin' Elks football squad scored 44 points and restricted the visiting North Stokes Vikings to 12 in the Buckin' Elks league victory on Friday.

The Buckin' Elks now possess a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Wilkes for a 1A West Conference 36 battle on Friday, September 23. Elkin will play a Cardinals squad coming off a 62-7 league loss to Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 4-1.

Coming up next, the Vikings play the Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC) in a 1A West Conference 36 battle, on Friday, September 23. North Stokes will attempt to advance on its 1-4 season record. The Rams enter the battle with a 2-2 record after their 21-2 non-league loss to Pine Lake Prep (Mooresville, NC).
