The Gogebic [Johnston/Wakefield] Miners (Bessemer, MI) football defeated the visiting North Dickinson Nordics (Felch, MI), 21-12 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Miners face the Norway Knights (Norway, MI) in a Great Lakes - West (8 Man) bout, on Saturday, September 24. Gogebic [Johnston/Wakefield] will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record. The Knights enter the bout with a 4-0 record after their 30-28 league win over Forest Park (Crystal Falls, MI).

The Nordics (0-4) will now prepare for their bout against Stephenson (Stephenson, MI). The Eagles enter the Great Lakes - West (8 Man) bout with a 2-2 record. In their last bout, Stephenson was toppled by Lake Linden-Hubbell (Lake Linden, MI), 44-14, in a league bout.
