North Carolina High School Football - Purnell Swett drops to Gray's Creek

September 16, 2022: Hope Mills, NC 28348

In Friday's league game, the Gray's Creek Bears (Hope Mills, NC) football team knocked off the visiting Purnell Swett Rams (Pembroke, NC), by a final score of 22-13.

The Bears (4-0) will now prepare for their game against Seventy-First (Fayetteville, NC). The Falcons come into the 3A/4A East Conference 22 game with a 4-0 record. In their last game, Seventy-First toppled South View (Hope Mills, NC), 41-9, in a league game.

The Rams now hold a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cape Fear for a 3A/4A East Conference 22 game on Friday, September 23. Purnell Swett will battle a Colts team coming off a 37-0 league win over Lumberton (Lumberton, NC). The Colts record now stands at 3-1.
