The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Hanson Memorial Tigers (Franklin, LA) and the visiting Westminster Academy Crusaders (Opelousas, LA), observed Hanson Memorial's football squad defeat Westminster Academy by a count of 28-7.
The Tigers now own a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Highland Baptist Christian for a 1A District 7 bout on Thursday, September 22. Hanson Memorial will clash with a Bears squad coming off a 23-13 non-league loss to St. John (Plaquemine, LA). The Bears record now stands at 2-2.
The Crusaders (0-3) will now prepare for their bout against Hamilton Christian (Lake Charles, LA). The Warriors enter the non-league bout with a 0-3 record. In their last bout, Hamilton Christian was toppled by Welsh (Welsh, LA), 65-0, in a non-league bout.
