Pennsylvania High School Football - Wilkes-Barre succumbs to Hazleton Area

September 16, 2022: Wilkes-Barre, PA

The Hazleton Area Cougars thwarted the host Wilkes-Barre football team by a count of 20-7 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Hazleton Area upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Cougars travel to West Scranton (Scranton, PA) to encounter the Invaders in a non-league outing on Friday, September 23. The Invaders go into the outing with a record of 1-3. West Scranton lost 42-13 in their recent non-league outing against Dallas (Dallas, PA)

With the loss, Wilkes-Barre moves to 2-2 on the season. The travel to Berwick (Berwick, PA) to encounter the Bulldogs in a Wyoming Valley 4A outing on Friday, September 23. The Bulldogs go into the outing with a record of 2-2. Berwick won 34-10 in their recent non-league outing against Williamsport (Williamsport, PA)
