Mississippi High School Football - Holmes County Central held off by Neshoba Central

In Friday's league game, the Neshoba Central Rockets (Philadelphia, MS) football team tipped the visiting Holmes County Central Jaguars (Lexington, MS), by a final score of 23-18.

The Rockets (2-2) will now prepare for their game against Provine (Jackson, MS). The Rams come into the 5A Region 2 game with a 2-2 record. In their last game, Provine was tipped by Ridgeland (Ridgeland, MS), 62-21, in a league game.

The Jaguars now hold a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Canton for a 5A Region 2 game on Friday, September 23. Holmes County Central will battle a Tigers team coming off a 21-12 league loss to Callaway (Jackson, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 1-3.
