Kentucky High School Football - Newport Central Catholic defeats Holy Cross

September 16, 2022: Covington, KY 41015

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds football squad scored a good 49-21 triumph over the Holy Cross Indians.

With the triumph, Newport Central Catholic improves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Thoroughbreds travel to Newport (Newport, KY) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league test on Friday, September 23. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 2-2. Newport lost 30-22 in their recent non-league test against Cincinnati College Prep Academy (Cincinnati, OH)

With the loss, Holy Cross drops to 1-4 on the campaign. The Indians host Holmes (Covington, KY) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league test on Friday, September 23. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 3-1. Holmes won 34-28 in their recent non-league test against Newport (Newport, KY)
