The Jefferson Blue Jays football team (Festus, MO), was beaten 27-12 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting St. Pius X Lancers (Festus, MO)
The Lancers (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Herculaneum (Herculaneum, MO). The Black Cats come into the I-55 challenge with a 3-2 record. In their last challenge, Herculaneum was beaten by St. Vincent (Perryville, MO), 19-16, in a league challenge.
The Blue Jays now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bayless for a I-55 challenge on Friday, September 23. Jefferson will meet a Bronchos team coming off a 40-0 non-league loss to Perryville (Perryville, MO). The Bronchos record now stands at 1-3.
