In Friday's non-league match, the host Las Cruces Bulldawgs football squad scored a good 35-7 victory over the Mayfield Trojans.

In their next game, the Bulldawgs clash with the Hobbs Eagles (Hobbs, NM) in a 6A District 3/4 match, on Friday, September 30. Las Cruces will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 5-0 record after their 30-20 non-league win over Rio Rancho (Rio Rancho, NM).
