    The Mallard Creek Mavericks topped the host West Charlotte Lions football team by a count of 35-6 in Friday's league outing.

    With the win, Mallard Creek upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Mavericks host Hopewell (Huntersville, NC) to confront the Titans in a 3A/4A West Conference 60 outing on Friday, September 23. The Titans go into the outing with a record of 1-3. Hopewell lost 69-14 in their recent non-league outing against Independence (Charlotte, NC)

    With the loss, West Charlotte moves to 2-3 on the season. The Lions travel to West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC) to confront the Hawks in a 3A/4A West Conference 60 outing on Friday, September 23. The Hawks go into the outing with a record of 4-1. West Mecklenburg lost 27-0 in their recent league outing against Chambers (Charlotte, NC)
