The Murphysboro [Co-op] Red Devils football squad scored 52 points and restricted the host Massac County/Joppa-Maple Grove Patriots to 14 in the Red Devils league victory on Friday.

The Red Devils now possess a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Herrin for a Southern Illinois River-to-River - Ohio battle on Friday, September 23. Murphysboro [Co-op] will play a Tigers squad coming off a 35-6 league loss to Benton (Benton, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 1-3.

Coming up next, the Patriots play the Harrisburg Bulldogs (Harrisburg, IL) in a Southern Illinois River-to-River - Ohio battle, on Friday, September 23. Massac County/Joppa-Maple Grove will attempt to advance on its 2-2 season record. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a 3-1 record after their 20-14 league win over Frankfort (West Frankfort, IL).
