Colorado High School Football - Montezuma-Cortez prevails North Fork

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Montezuma-Cortez Panthers (Cortez, CO) and the host North Fork Miners (Hotchkiss, CO), observed Montezuma-Cortez's football squad defeat North Fork by a count of 49-20.

The Panthers now own a 3-1 record. They play next when they host Ignacio for a non-league contest on Friday, September 23. Montezuma-Cortez will encounter a Bobcats squad coming off a 54-18 non-league win over Navajo Prep (Farmington, NM). The Bobcats record now stands at 2-0.

Coming up next, the Miners encounter the Cedaredge Bruins (Cedaredge, CO) in a 1A League 1 contest, on Friday, September 23. North Fork will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Bruins go into the contest with a 3-1 record after their 42-0 league win over Olathe (Olathe, CO).
