Washington High School Football - Stanwood knocks off Oak Harbor

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Stanwood Spartans (Stanwood, WA) and the host Oak Harbor Wildcats (Oak Harbor, WA), observed Stanwood's football squad thwart Oak Harbor by a tally of 38-14.

The Spartans now possess a 3-0 record. They play next when they host Mount Vernon for a 3A Wesco - North contest on Friday, September 23. Stanwood will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 21-6 league loss to Arlington (Arlington, WA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-3.

Coming up next, the Wildcats play the Marysville-Pilchuck Tomahawks (Marysville, WA) in a 3A Wesco - North contest, on Friday, September 23. Oak Harbor will attempt to advance on its 0-3 season record. The Tomahawks go into the contest with a 2-1 record after their 31-14 league win over Marysville Getchell (Marysville, WA).
