The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Randolph-Henry Statesmen (Charlotte Court House, VA) and the visiting Surry County Cougars (Dendron, VA), observed Randolph-Henry's football squad bounce Surry County by a count of 47-12.
The Statesmen now own a 3-0 record. They play next when they host Lunenburg Central for a James River contest on Friday, September 23. Randolph-Henry will play a Chargers squad coming off a 22-8 non-league win over William Campbell (Naruna, VA). The Chargers record now stands at 4-0.
Coming up next, the Cougars play the Brunswick Bulldogs (Lawrenceville, VA) in a Tri-Rivers contest, on Friday, September 23. Surry County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Bulldogs go into the contest with a 1-3 record after their 19-14 non-league loss to Rappahannock (Warsaw, VA).
