In Friday's non-league battle, the host Centennial Hawks soccer squad scored a close 6-0 triumph over the Carlsbad Cavemen.
The Hawks (9-1) will now prepare for their battle against Alamogordo (Alamogordo, NM). The Tigers come into the 5A District 3 battle with a 6-3 record. In their last battle, Alamogordo nudged Chaparral (Chaparral, NM), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
The Cavemen (5-7) will now prepare for their battle against Mayfield (Las Cruces, NM). The Trojans come into the non-league battle with a 3-5 record. In their last battle, Mayfield was overwhelmed by Hobbs (Hobbs, NM), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
