Jefferson Dragons (Jefferson, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Gordon Lee Trojans (Chickamauga, GA), 8-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Dragons now own a 11-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Calhoun for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 17. Jefferson will battle a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 6-3 non-league win over Dade County (Trenton, GA). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 15-3.

With the loss, Gordon Lee falls to 12-3 on the campaign. The Trojans host Woodland (Cartersville, GA) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 16. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 9-8. Woodland won 9-3 in their recent league challenge against Dalton (Dalton, GA)
